Privacy Policy — My Sales Assistant

My Sales Assistant ("we," "our," "the software") is available as a Chrome extension and a website that grade sales transcripts using AI. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and password. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt) before storage — we never store or have access to your plaintext password.
• Token balance: how many credits your account has, tied to your purchases.
• Sales transcripts: when you submit a transcript to be graded, it is sent to our server and then to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a grade. We do not store the transcript text itself on our servers after the request completes. The grading result is saved as your history, tied to your account — on the website, that history lives on our servers; on the Chrome extension, it's stored locally in your own browser. Either way, transcript content is never transmitted anywhere except at the moment you request a grade.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number or other payment details — Stripe processes the charge and tells us only whether it succeeded, so we can credit your account.

Third parties we share data with

• Anthropic (maker of Claude) — receives the transcript text and sale context you submit, solely to generate your grading result.
• Stripe — receives your payment details directly (never through us) to process purchases.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Your responsibility regarding sales transcripts

If a transcript you submit includes another person's voice or statements (e.g., a sales prospect or customer), you are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to record, retain, and submit that interaction for analysis, including complying with any applicable recording/consent laws in your jurisdiction — whether the interaction happened over the phone, on video, or in person. Only submit transcripts you're authorized to share.

Data retention and deletion

Your account (email, hashed password, and token balance) is retained until you ask us to delete it. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at the address below. Local grading history lives in your own browser and can be cleared at any time using the "Clear" option in the extension's History section, or by removing the extension.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All communication between the extension and our server uses HTTPS. Session tokens are signed and expire automatically.

Children's privacy

This product is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
